Crossing Together: A Practice of Longing and Belonging Through the Holidays
The holidays can feel like crossing a rushing river—surrounded by currents of expectation, grief, joy, and longing all at once. You don't have to cross alone.
Drawing from the ancient Bhakti teaching of the river crossing, this workshop offers a different way through the season: not by pushing away difficulty, but by recognizing longing itself as love, as teacher, as guide.
Together we'll explore:
How longing—for connection, for what was, for what could be—is actually pointing us toward what matters most
Practices to stay embodied and present when holidays feel overwhelming
The power of crossing together, held by community
This isn't about fixing yourself or having a "perfect" holiday. It's about finding your footing in the current, letting longing teach you, and discovering moments of peace right in the middle of it all.
The Invitation
The holidays are coming whether we're ready or not. The river is rising. But you don't have to cross alone, and you don't have to pretend the water isn't cold.
Join us for this journey through longing, toward belonging, together.
We will meet live online Sunday 12/7, 12/14, 12/21 and 1/4/2026 from 10-11:30am
Each session will have a yoga practice including movement, breath and a small mediation. You'll leave each week with something concrete to practice, a touchstone to return to when things get difficult.
You will need a quiet space to practice that is big enough for a yoga mat and a willingness to enter into conversation with what is present for you.
This work is meant to be done in community. To create the intimate, supportive container this workshop needs, I'm looking for a minimum of 4 participants. If we don't reach that number by 12/3, I'll cancel the series and issue full refunds. You'll hear from me by 12/6 either way.
